Variations: Feta tomato cucumber salad

In this variation, you just need to add 1 more ingredient (feta cheese) and skip sea salt as feta cheese gives this salad fulfilling Greek plate of mixed greens flavor and adds the salty notes as well. So you don’t actually need additional salt however completely your decision.

Feta cheese takes this dish to the next level, so you can give it a try. I have not used feta cheese for this salad as I wanted to keep my plate of mixed greens light.

Other add-ins:

The incredible thing about this salad is that you can continuously add more to it relying upon what you like.

  • Vegetables: avocado or carrots can likewise be added to this dish

This reviving salad of mixed greens and tomatoes is a good source of vitamin C. And also don’t forget, we added lemon juice to it which again gives a citrus element to this dish. Cucumber can help keep you hydrated thus you feel refreshing.

Should you peel the cucumber for salad?

If you ask me, yes but it’s a personal choice. You can definitely have the cucumber with the skin on. I felt the skin of the cucumber tastes bitter and generally rough in texture thus I prefer peeling it for salad.

Generally, English or Persian cucumbers have thin skins which you do not need to peel but you may have to for regular cucumber.
